Mutual fund is a form of collective investment that pools money from many investors and invests their money in stocks, bonds, dividends, short-term money market instruments, and/or other securities.
Open Ended Funds
An open-ended fund is a collective investment which can issue and redeem units at any time. An investor can purchase shares in such funds directly from the mutual fund company, or through a brokerage house.
Close Ended Funds
A closed-end fund is a collective investment scheme with a limited number of units which can not be redeemed before 3-years locking period.
